Do you enjoy time spent alone?
If one thing is true, we all need time to ourselves. Many people don’t realize this even as they age. And yet, there are some individuals who desire to be by themselves most of the time. With faith and belief in Jesus we are never alone.
Throughout the years we have gained more and more insight into what others think about when they are alone with their own thoughts. The internal dialogue is a real thing. Ideas we ponder and situations we reminisce on are facets of our mind that no one else knows about, unless we are vulnerable and share with someone we trust.
Just like we all look different, we all think differently too. Everyone is unique in their thoughts. Although we share similarities. Spending time alone, allows each of us to grow. Alone time also allows us to figure out who we are, what we believe, and what we want to apply in our lifetime. It also allows individuals time for their brains to rest and recover.
While having quiet time with ourselves, it is a great time to talk with our Creator, who knows our thoughts and our heart. Praising God for His blessings can give each person a positive outlook on life. This discipline is rewarded when we turn to God for guidance, perspective, and clarity. In turn, we build trust and faith in God.
When we focus on what we are grateful for, we are ultimately training our brains and our thought process to count our many daily blessings. This will hinder us from lingering on elements of our day that we had no control over and that did not flow smoothly in our favor. What a blessing it is to meditate on the gifts that surround each and everyone of us in this life.
Deuteronomy 28: 2
" All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:"
