4/10/24- Full Life

Updated: Apr 12

There is one certainty in this lifetime, and that is that each and every one of us will die, someday…

As Alfred Tennyson wrote:

“I hold it true, what e’er befall;

I feel it, when I sorrow most;

It is better to have loved and lost,

Than never to have loved at all.”

When your time is limited, and you know it, or you don't, how do you want to spend your precious time?

It's been almost two weeks since I learned that someone I have loved for three-quarters of my life is going to be leaving this life shortly. All who love her want to provide hope and support, and probably grab her and hug her illness out of her body. This isn't how it works, unfortunately!

I am having to practice restraint and respect her privacy and keep loving her how she needs to be loved right now. She needs her husband and family around her now. However, I am so incredibly thankful for our time loving each other in this lifetime.

We came into this world on our own, and we will leave this world on our own. Hopefully, we enter this world surrounded by people who love us or a person who loves us. The same hope is that we will be surrounded by loved ones when we leave this life. Even if we have one person with us who loves us, we are blessed.

Love is what we long for in life. It incorporates so much of our inner core straight from the heart, where we hold the love Jesus left with us. It is such a great gift. One of the greatest gifts, and this gift comes from above. Our lives have been full if we have known love.

1 John 4: 16

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”

I love you so, dear friend. I'm sorry if this made you cry. You have been there for me through so much, and I have been beyond blessed to give and receive your love. You can do this! I will meet you in the garden! 🩵
