5/15/24- Beautiful & Wonderfully Made

Who is your Creator?

God created man in His own image. After He created male and female, God blessed them.

God wants what is good for you in this lifetime and for eternity. He has said so from the beginning. He also said, God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.”

~Genesis 1:31

The Bible and church have lost their flavor and seasoning. Humans have turned from God yet again. We are tempted by pleasure, belongings, status, and recognition. Never mind the fact that everyone has fun on their mind.

All the posts on social media depict fun, accolades and celebration of life. Not sure if we are kidding anyone, because losing a loved one is sad. Yet this world wants to put a celebration status on everything, including death.

We have in front of our eyes, easily accessible dopamine hits via our phones. The endless tunnel of videos that stimulate us are mostly pleasurable, yet empty. The reality is that most everyone has a phone on their body most of the day. I don't know if this has ever been said about the Bible. Although I do recall countless discoveries of crucifix jewelry excavated from the ruins after the Pompei explosion in Italy.

The cross and Jewish star have been a common relic of jewelry people have worn throughout the centuries. However, the ratio doesn't come close to the number of phones people have on them in this day and age.

The exposure of ideation we form from visuals we see repeatedly have begun to make this next generation feel less than beautiful. All of this information we receive from TV and videos regarding how to do things right, how to be the best, the healthiest, the most beautiful, the most successful version of ourselves, has impacted our society. We are falling subject to negative exposures yet again. People really don't learn from their mistakes.

Since the beginning of time, God said that what He has made was good. I'm not sure we can trust that what man is making is also good for us humans and for our children. We must continue to put God first in our lives and in our children’s lives, so that we will receive God’s promise that everything is made beautiful in its time. We still cannot fathom what God has done from the beginning to the end. Although I do know that all will be very good again when we, who believe, see Him again.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
