What has been required from the beginning of time to create a human?

This truth is known to all who are alive. It's the story of the birds and the bees. And it's a true story, and a miracle. We all have a Mom and a Dad. We came from man and woman, and their union. We can all agree that the earth is inhabited with both man and woman.

Genesis 1: 27-

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'"

Man and woman were made by God, a true miracle and this requires faith to believe this truth. Faith is defined as:

a(1)

: belief and trust in and loyalty to God

(2)

: belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion

b(1)

: firm belief in something for which there is no proof

clinging to the faith that her missing son would one day return

(2)

: complete trust.

Both man and woman are required to create new life. This is a truth we can all acknowledge with complete certainty. And this is another true miracle.

The selection process and qualifying for Olympic teams is currently taking place in the U.S. in all sports for men and women. These male and female athletes are disciplined, talented, hard-working athletes who have sacrificed so much of their time to train in hopes of making their Olympic dream a reality. Becoming an Olympic athlete for both men and women is a miracle. As I have told my children and so many over the years, it takes everything all working together for the best possible outcome on that particular day, at that particular moment, and that particular time for an athlete to make the Olympic dream a reality.

Swimming, the one most near and dear to my heart will be starting next week. These competitions are some of my favorite past times, and have been ever since I was a young girl. I have so many fond memories watching the Olympics and dreaming of being one of those female athletes to qualify one day.

The Olympic Trials for swimming is also a favorite past time for my entire family. My husband qualified and competed at Olympic Trials, when he was 21. My eldest son qualified at 18 and 23, and competed at age 18, and my daughter qualified and competed at age 16 and 20. My daughter placed 13th in the 50 Freestyle at Olympic Trials in 2021. My opportunity to compete at Olympic Trials was missed by .01 seconds. I still wish I hadn't cut my nails that week, HAHA. The above picture is from the 2016 Olympic Trials and the first for my two oldest kids. My kids were 18, 16 and 10 years of age in this picture.

My niece will be competing at Olympic Trials next week in two distance swimming events. I am so excited for her, and my brother and his wife, to get to be in the atmosphere and experience the excitement of watching some of the most amazing male and female swimmers to ever compete.

In order to qualify for the Olympics, an athlete must finish first or second in an event . This includes all events except for the freestyle sprint events that will qualify up to 6 swimmers for relays. The number of athletes both men and women that will qualify to go to the Olympics is so limited compared to the talent that is so deep in our amazing country, the USA.

God speed to all the male and female athletes competing. My hope is that you will soak in all the splendor and give your all with confidence and know your worth and value. You all are amazingly blessed and talented, and have worked harder than most people could ever imagine. Go have fun!
