6/21/24- Length of Love

Does love stand the test of time?

Love is immeasurable. Although I'm not sure the amount of time you have to love someone really figures into the equation of love. Time is precious. However, time does not measure love. Love transcends time.

A mother can love her child from the time of conception. Love is innate in all of us, and yet it requires nurturing. If nurturing is only the idea of getting to hold your newborn and welcome this new life into your heart, your life, your home.

I still remember getting to hold my baby for the first time. The feeling is indescribable, and yet I would say it was a feeling of instant love. I was committed from that moment on to do the best I could to love and nurture and guide this new life. What a blessing!

Love is true. Love has no limitations. Love is not transferrable. We long for love to grow. Love won’t fade away. Regardless, we hope that a love that we feel initially will grow and bloom. For any love to grow, it requires two or more people to commit to love. Although when raising your child, love should not falter. Love should remain unconditional. This remains true of God, as we are His children.

All of these ideologies of love are probably all the things that God knew from the beginning of time when He created us. Love is true. Love spans any length of time. Love requires hope. Love requires nurturing. Love is a commitment. Love never leaves.

1John 4: 7- 12

7 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.”

Love is a true blessing.

Love is a gift from above. Love is greater than

all other things combined.

Happy Friday!
