How does your garden grow?

If you have planted new life, you have given of your time and energy to nurture and help seeds grow into seedlings and then into plants that produce fruit or vegetables. Plants do not just appear, although weeds do. This again is mind boggling, weeds thrive and desired plants do not without attention.

Humm... this kind of reminds me of human beings and day-to-day life. The things that grow are not always what we want to grow in our lives. A lot of times, we don't even know that something is growing that we don't want to grow. We are blind to the weeds of destruction that are taking over our space and peace and stealing our joy.

These weeds encroach on our positive vibes and goodness that we really desire to grow and shine in our day-to-day lives. Weeds must be tended to daily or several times a week to keep them from invading our desired plantings to thrive. Just as weeds must be tended to, we must recenter our mental focus and desired attitudes to help better our days.

If you've been reading along for a while, you know that love is the desired gift we would like to nurture and grow in our lives. Love produces goodness and harmony. Love incorporated into a daily routine helps us to focus on what we can do well for ourselves and for others.

Mother Teresa, a well known devout woman of God once said...

"Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do...but how much love we put in that action." Since our heart is nurtured at home, it is a blessing when we have God in our home. Filling ourselves with God's word by reading The Bible is essential for us to stay focused on growing goodness in our lives.

1 Corinthians 10: 23

"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful;

all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.

Let no one seek his own,

but each one the other's well-being."
