Have you heard the saying,” it’s what’s inside that matters.”?
There is a reason behind this saying. We all have different gifts; physical, mental, social, artistic, personality… However, the goodness we house inside our minds and hearts, allow us to shine with our gifts in a positive light. What is inside matters and is usually revealed to others.
Everyone of us face challenges in life that we must maneuver through. This is why it is so important to look to the good news of love, hope and promises from God recorded in the Bible. The more we bury these Godly gifts in our hearts and minds the more likely we are to hold onto the goodness and climb out of the valleys. The key is what we hold “inside” our hearts and minds, not letting the world taint or tarnish this truth, light, and belief we hold onto.
Ephesians 6: 14- 16
“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness
in place, and with
your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this,
take up the shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
