So many people find comfort in the gift of grace from our great Father in heaven. His gift of grace has brought comfort to many who felt unworthy of His love and forgiveness. We are forgiven if we ask.
I am always amazed when I think about Jesus on the cross, who had not sinned, between two thieves. He did not judge them, but handled them with compassion and grace. One acknowledged Him as God, while the other blasphemed Him. The man who believed Jesus was God said to the other, "'Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.' Then he said to Jesus, 'Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.' And Jesus said to him, 'Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.'" Luke 23:40-43
Today is a great day to praise our Father in heaven and rest in His promises, so thankful for His grace.
Micah 7:18 "Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love."
I strongly encourage you to listen to today's sermon by Scott Lehr from Southbridge Fellowship Church. You will hear many references from the Bible that help build credibility on the truth of God's word.
The sermon, Finding New Freedom, correlates to this week's blogs as if Scott and I had spoken or as if God had spoken to us both. I believe it was the later, as Scott and I never met in person until today.
